This policy was purchased originally for another, more expensive, trip. When I cancelled that trip, I thought that the $900+ I had spent on the policy would be forfeit. Pleasant surprise, my policy was transferred to my new trip, and a refund check was sent for the difference in cost of the two policies. That is treating a customer fairly.

Very impressed! Tested positive for covid for return to the US. Filed claim. No questions. Was paid within two weeks of return. Paid for expenses for the hotel and flights without problem. Would highly recommend. First time filing a claim for travel insurance and couldnt be easier.

We didn't have to file a claim, fortunately, but having done so a couple of years ago we know how good they are. Having that confidence in them makes for a more relaxed trip

It's all good until it's time to file a claim. Then they want to say they don't cover illness. My son (who I had insured) got sick on our cruise ship and now ArchIns is saying they aren't the primary. Our medical doesn't cover out of the country which is the reason we purchased travel insurance. This company is a complete joke and I'll never purchase through them again.

Our flight was delayed and we needed a hotel. then, our connecting flight was delayed so we rented a car to drive home to avoid another day away. When we tried to make a claim, it took 5 emails and I had to keep submitting various proof (seems to me that they were stalling to actually pay). In the end, they covered the hotel and the rental car - total claim was less than $300 and they covered less than that. Almost wasn't worth the hassle and back and forth to get the money they rightfully owed us. Never had this issue in the past and was disappointed in how it all worked out.

The plan that you purchased provides excess medical coverage, which means a claim for any illness or medical treatment must be filed with your primary medical provider first. This way, we have proof of any payment from your primary provider and are able to reimburse the remaining expenses. If your primary insurance provider does not provide coverage for this type of claim, we would still need proof of their $0 payment.
We have also sent you an email outlining the other additional documentation we need in order to complete your claim.
