I had a small claim ($170) for a medical emergency and it should have been paid promptly. It took reminder calls but I received a check four months after the claim was filed.

Bottom line: Seven Corners paid for our trip cancellation due to a death of a parent. That said, it took way too long. I provided all the information they asked for. Several weeks later I was told they were missing some information. The information they were missing was in the same attachment for everything else they received, but I sent it out to them again. Three more weeks go by and I have heard nothing. I call a representative who was wonderful. She stated that they were still waiting for that one piece of documentation that I had sent for the second time. She had me send it again adding her name to the subject line. That worked! She received it and got back to me immediately. Then I continued waiting for 2 more weeks, so I sent another email. Several days later, I received an email (by the way, you get an automated email response immediately that says you will hear something in 24 hours. Hah! My first email to them never got a response). This time the email said that everything was approved and that they had issued the payment. I also received a voicemail saying the same. Great! When I didn't receive the payment after a week, I called. The rep apologized for the miscommunication and that it takes 10 days. Two plus weeks later, I'm calling back. The rep checks and says that the check should go out that day. I finally received it, and as I said in my first line, I got the money, but it should have never taken that long and required all the follow ups.

I went to Turkey at the least politically stable time and I trusted that Seven Corners Liaison International plan was the best plan for me because it covered the things I was concerned about mainly political and social unrest.
Fortunately I didn't have to make a claim.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. The Seven Corners Liaison International plan does cover emergency medical expenses related to Terrorist Attacks up to 50,000 USD. However, the following is excluded from all coverage under this plan:
"War, hostilities or warlike operations (whether war be declared or not), Invasion, Act of an enemy foreign to the nationality of the Plan Participant or the country in, or over, which the act occurs, Civil war, Riot, Rebellion, Insurrection, Revolution, Overthrow of the legally constituted government, Civil commotion assuming the proportions of, or amounting to, an uprising, Military or usurped power, Explosions of war weapons, Utilization of Nuclear, Chemical or Biological weapons of mass destruction howsoever these may be distributed or combined, Murder or Assault subsequently proved beyond reasonable doubt to have been the act of agents of a state foreign to the nationality of the Plan Participant whether war be declared with
that state or not..."
