I didn't have to file a claim with Seven Corners during my trip, but I had some annoyances with them that would lead me to recommend using a different company. Firstly, they did not send me a confirmation email of my plan. Yes, I checked my spam/trash folders. I had to contact them just to have them send me my travel insurance card to print. Secondly, they had no issues sending me multiple emails warning me that my plan was going to expire and asked me to renew. Well, of course it's going to expire because I only had a 2 week plan! I can only assume they are usually in the business for long term insurance plans and don't really have themselves set up properly for customers with short travel insurance plans.

Thank you for your review. Seven Corners has provided the following response: "We’re glad to hear your trip went well, and we are sorry you did not receive a purchase confirmation. We routinely provide purchase confirmation emails with a link to our insurance ID cards for each purchase made. As far as renewal emails, we send those at preset intervals to remind people they can extend their plan if they would like. We find that customers often need to do this."Apr 28,2020

My tour company offered travel insurance but it was expensive. Seven Corners provided a plan at a better cost that gave excellent coverage. I didn't need it, thank goodness, but the security of having it was well worth it. Thanks.

It is less than transparent how my premium was calculated. We merely wanted medical and evacuation coverage--this should have been calculated on the number of days we were abroad and our ages. But it seems that the cost of our trip was also a factor for some reason--perhaps I am wrong. Since we travel a lot--10 weeks in Europe in 2016--it would be nice to know that our coverage costs have a rational basis.

The Seven Corners Liaison International plan is a travel medical plan. Travel Medical plans do not cover Trip Cancellation, therefore, trip cost does not factor into the premium. Premium for travel medical plans are based on the ages of the travelers, the number of travelers, the medical limit, the deductible, and the length of travel.
