Did not file any claims. Our trip went well and had no need. Insurance is always a bit confusing to me (my issue not Seven Corners) I would use Seven corners.

Thanks

Seven Corners Liaison Travel Basic
First, I will state that Seven Corners paid a claim in 4 figures for me for a trip to Costa Rica; however, securing payment was a lengthy process requiring effort and persistence on my part. I submitted all required documentation within a week of my return. Two months passed without processing; I was told they were behind schedule, and new staff were being hired and trained.

After 3 months, I contacted them and was told there was a delay because dates on the medical bill didn't match. Well, yes, one was the date of service, and one was the date the bill was prepared. My customer service rep understood Spanish and recognized the issue immediately; but for an international insurance company, I'd expect the processing department not to miss basic details like this.

A week later, my claim was processed... for a total of 3 dollars. The processors had assumed I paid my bill in Costa Rican colones, when I had paid in U.S. dollars. Again, this seemed fairly clear from my documentation. If there was any uncertainty, why not reach out to me to confirm? Instead I needed to request another escalation.

This required several calls over several weeks. I was on hold at times for up to 30 minutes. I eventually was referred to a supervisor and promised a callback. When we finally did connect, I was told my claim would be paid in full. I received my payment about 4 months after filing.

As a solo international traveler, I depend on low-cost insurance plans, which I hope never to use, but if I do have to, I hope for a swift response that doesn't put a damper on my travel experience. Based on my experience with Seven Corners, I will not be using them again.

Our policy gave us peace of mind during our trip to Costa Rica. We did not have any problems but know we would have been helped if there was a need.

The customer service representative was extremely easy to work with, and the cost of the plan is extremely affordable for the coverage. This is our second time insuring a trip with Seven Corners Roundtrip plan and will do so in the future.

You have to be aware to purchase the policy early enough to obtain coverage for pre-existing conditions. The plan provided coverage that I needed, at a reasonable price compared to other plans.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. For the Seven Corners Roundtrip Choice plan, the Pre-Existing Conditions exclusion is waived if the traveler purchases the policy within ten days of the initial deposit, and insures the full cost of the trip.

I was glad that I had purchased the policy. After speaking with many travelers, most said that they always purchase a travel policy prior to an international trip.

Seven Corners Roundtrip
SEVEN CORNERS ROUNDTRIP was the most unprofessional insurance company I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is worse than awful. I had a trip delay claim from early January. They took until mid March to re-imburse $64 of my $98 claim. They lost one receipt entirely and overlooked another. They never respond within the time frame they promise and offer nothing but long hold times and excuses. Thank God this was such a minor claim. I would never want to have to try to deal with them for anything major. I appealed through their cumbersome appeals process which was supposed to take 30 days. After 4 phone calls after the 30-day deadline I finally reached a supervisor who claims they are finally going to pay $2.21 of the disputed claim. They lost the receipt for $21.67 and are paying the $2.27 as $2.21 (don't ask me why - the receipt says $2.27 but they are insisting on paying it as $2.21). Can you imagine if you were waiting on hundreds or thousands of dollars in reimbursement from this company? I strongly recommend you buy your trip insurance from the next highest quote. ANYONE but SEVEN CORNERS. They take your money but offer no customer service and do not process claims promptly or pay them accurately!
