I submitted a claim with all the information requested on the application which I downloaded from their website. A few weeks later I was notified that they weren't using that form anymore and I needed to fill out a second form and submit additional information, which I emailed the next day. I got confirmation that the email was received and called to make sure they did not need any more information. I was assured that the claim would be processed. A few days later I received a letter requesting the information again. When I called, I was assured that the claim had been approved and I would get a check. It took another week, making the total time from submission of request to payment about 4 weeks. I don't know if this is typical. The repeated requests for a different form and additional information, felt like the company was hoping I would not follow through and then they wouldn't have to pay the claim.

Fortunately, we didn't have to use the insurance. However, knowing we had it gave us peace of mind should we have needed it. We always go to InsureMyTrip when we travel outside of the USA. The cost of medical care and possible medical evacuation can be very costly.

The person who sold me the plan over the phone was very helpful in finding exactly what coverage I wanted. I'm grateful that nothing happened to cause me to file a claim, but it is good to know you are insured against so many things. I also appreciated the reminder email to print out the information about the policy in case I needed it.

Price was good for the coverage I wanted. Customer service team on the phone for insuremytrip was very helpful. The online plan search didn't give me the information I needed so it was essential to be able to speak with someone to go through the small print. My trip involved some remote travel so I needed to make sure evacuation insurance was from point of accident/illness and not just from country. Plan looked good but fortunately didn't need to make a claim so didn't have to put it to the test.
