Five of us took the trip of a lifetime this February 2019. Flying out of Boston mid-winter to another country can be challenging and travel insurance was a must. C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector gave us the piece of mind that if anything was to interfere with our plans, then at least we'd have financial protection.
C&F Travel gave us that piece of mind from everything flight related, weather, to health concerns. So glad we didn't need it, but the cost of that piece of mind was worth it.

Was missing a suitcase on the pier when I returned from my cruise. Looked over my policy when I got home and realized there was a very LOW dollar amount for a claim for luggage!!! Will definitely pay more attention to this in future. FORTUNATELY my suitcase was accidentally picked up by a porter and sent on a tour bus to another town in Florida - and with great relief a very honest tour operator called the cruise line to report an extra bag in their customers' load and I was reunited via a FedEx delivery in a short 3 days with my luggage!!! I may not be this lucky the next time so it's a lesson learned.

Process of buying plan was straightforward and efficient. Web site was good to navigate. Coverage was what I wanted and price was slightly less than I had been paying for similar coverage from another company.
I did not need to file any claims, so I do not know how that process is with the company, but the rest of the process was positive and painless.

I was very impressed with Travel Insured. One of my flights was cancelled due to a winter storm and I rebooked at a higher cost with a different airline. The difference in the cost of the flights was covered completely by Travel Insured. They asked for a reasonable amount of documentation for the claim and it was processed very quickly. I received my check today.

Trip Protector Lite Expanded
Actually I had a problem on the trip and it raised a question about how trip insurance works. My flight from Boston to St. Thomas was delayed to the extent that I knew I was going to miss the last ferry to my destination in the British Virgin Islands. I would have to take a room in St Thomas and forfeit a night at my destination at a rate of $500.
I called your claims department to find out if they would cover the additional expense of a private water taxi to get to my destination. They kept telling me the delay had to be for more than 6 hours. I cannot relate this time factor to what was essentially a missed connection. I tried to explain to them that if I spent additional money I would get there in less than a 6 hour delay but then they said it wouldn't be covered.
It ended up that other people heard me on the phone at the airport gate and we got a group of 12 together to hire the water taxi. We barely make it in time to get through customs by paying them overtime. But all's well that ends well! Had a fabulous second stay at Frenchmans Cay in Tortola. Will be going back next year.
