You should all know the story by now -- I had to cancel for work reasons and you would not cover my airfare costs. You denied my claim and denied my request for partial reimbursement. I would never use you again.

    The TravelSafe Classic policy automatically includes the Cancel For Work Reasons rider which provides Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage in the event your approved time off is revoked from your employer.

    "You, Your Traveling Companion or a Family Member traveling with You is required to work during Your Trip. A written statement by an unrelated company official and/or the human resources department demonstrating revocation of previously approved time off will be required. You, Your Traveling Companion or Family Member cannot be a company owner or partner;"

It took 2 months to get a check from "Travelsafe", even with a simple and very well documented medical issue on the ship. Initial claim reporting was very awkward, they wanted heavy documentation and lots of forms, and there were no verbal follow ups on the delay. When I initiated calls, the reps were extremely aloof, and had no urgency or concern. This company fooled me once, but I will feel "Safer" NEVER using these bozos again.

Word of advice, spend time looking at reviews where claims were made. That tells you the value of what you are really buying.

Insuremytrip really helped me out. They get a five star rating!

My husband Bob passed away on January 2nd and I cancelled the whole trip on my own. I didn't contact you because of the reply on the first trip I had to cancel in January, that you couldn't help me. Thank you for you product again we didn't travel because of his passing way to soon.

The plan was not used so unable to rate it. However, we had the same plan last year and had to cancel the trip and file a claim and it was a horrible, time consuming, frustrating process. We bought the plan for this cruise before we experienced claims processing issues last year. We will not purchase this plan again.

The TravelSafe Classic Plan provided excellent peace of mind for myself and the 7 other members of my family. We traveled to Barcelona for 3 days, boarded a ship to Rome for 7 days, and 3 days in Rome. With 4 children from ages 7 to 13 it was comforting to know we were insured for most situations. I highly recommend this company and this policy.

It took over 16 weeks, over 120 pages faxed (some of it multiple times) and far too many telephone calls to resolve my claim. And, yes, I submitted all they asked for on the forms they requested including proof of insurance payment in a timely fashion. I even provided a spreadsheet because our situation was slightly more complicated. Claims are processed through a third party administrator and you are never able to speak to the claims examiner. Updates consist of a generic postcard or a generic entry on their website. It added so much stress to an already difficult situation. Yes, we got most of our money refunded but the process is designed to wear you out so you give up. Even when we got the checks the summary of payment was almost impossible to decipher. It was only because of my determination and insistence that our claim was resolved to my satisfaction.
