Purchasing process was easy - spoke to a knowledgeable telephone representative who helped explain the difference between several plans. Sine we did not have to file a claim, it is hard to rate the coverage, but felt better knowing it was there if we needed it!

I had to appeal three times before $40 of my $120 claim for expenses incurred as a result of baggage delay was allowed. They didn't think the cost of transportation to get to a store to purchase needed clothing was reimbursable. People I spoke to on the phone had no authority to deal with the claim. The documents sent to me referred to me as "the patient" on what was obviously a medical insurance form. I think the claim was finally allowed only because I was stubborn and persistent.

We were unable to take our trip because of an unplanned surgery. We were contacted by the claims department representative in a very timely manner. The claims representative provided their business email and phone information, but never responded to any of my email or phone messages related to completing the claim form and accompanying paperwork. Although that was frustrating, I must have responded satisfactorily to the claims form questions because we received a check for the full amount of our claim in 6 weeks. By the way, I submitted all the claims paperwork as email attachments rather than faxing or mailing between 20 and 30 documents!

We were all set to go on our trip when cancer struck and we were forced to cancel. I can not say enough good things about the customer service and speed in which they handled our claim. Thanks for making this a stress free claim. Given what we are having to deal with, we didn't need any further stress.

I used this company to insure a pretty expensive bicycle tour. Half way through the 6-month trip I had to leave for a family emergency that was a "covered benefit." I was able to file a claim and recoup a significant portion of my money. The most irksome part of this company is that their policy is poorly written and it is extremely difficult to know exactly what will be covered in an emergency. Part of my claim was denied because I misread just a few words of the policy when I bought it, thus I wish the policy was more clear. Overall, the insurance was way less expensive than any other policy, and they covered what otherwise would have been a huge loss.

It is easy to purchase an insurance policy, but the true test of an insurance policy is when a claim is submitted and then process. Then again, I was lucky I did not have to submit a claim.
