It’s hard to rate something you never had to take advantage of. I felt the coverage was what I needed but I always worry that if I need to file a claim that I won’t get all the information you need and it will be rejected. Seems when issues pop up everything moves so quickly and things get forgotten.

I had to cancel our trip due to a serious medical condition. It took probably two months for the claim to be processed and paid out. It was a lengthy process but they did pay out the full amount, so I think it was fair.

We were on a cruise with a tight schedule and limited access to internet. We had a flight delay that caused us to miss a prepaid tour which would have been a covered loss under our policy. However, the policy required that we make a written claim within 7 days of the claimed loss. We missed that deadline.
It's my own fault for not reading and understanding the requirements. However, I believe that this requirement is completely unreasonable -- especially for a TRAVEL policy.

i submitted a claim and was asked for all sorts of documentation. finally was assigned a claims adjuster who was not responsive and didn't return calls. after 3 months, finally got in touch with someone who seemed capable and was told my policy didn't cover cancellation. why did it take 3 months to get that information?
