AIG Travel Travel Guard Silver

The AIG Travel Travel Guard Silver plan includes all of the benefits of the Travel Guard Basic plan, and much more. This plan may appeal to families traveling with children, as one child age 17 or under can be added to the plan for no additional premium with each covered adult. You never know what may happen, especially while traveling with children, so it is best to be prepared.

The plan is a comprehensive travel insurance plan that includes trip cancellation, trip interruption, baggage loss or delay, travel delay as well as medical and emergency medical evacuation coverage.

Unlike the Travel Guard Basic plan, the Travel Guard Silver plan includes a pre-existing condition exclusion waiver if all eligibility conditions are met. This will allow you a little more flexibility with coverage if you’re concerned about an illness or injury due to a prior medical event. This is a time-sensitive benefit and the plan must be purchased within 15 days of making your initial trip payment.

An Accidental Death – Flight Only benefit of $25,000 is included if purchased within 15 days after making your initial trip payment. If you are outside the timeframe to have this coverage included on your plan, there is an optional flight upgrade where you can add benefits up to $500,000, at an additional cost.
