IMT Services Travel Accident Plan

The IMT Services Travel Accident Plan offers Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage while you are traveling. This plan offers Accidental Death 24/7 coverage, Accidental Death Common Carrier and Accidental Death Flight.

You are able to choose beneficiaries that will receive the benefits if the worst were to happen during your trip. The plan features several accidental death & dismemberment coverage limits that you can choose from when purchasing the plan; they range from $100,000 to $1,000,000. This allows you to select the amount that will be comfortable leaving your beneficiaries.

Political and Natural Disaster Evacuation is another benefit included with this plan. This may cover the cost of non-medical evacuation if you experience a covered issue during your trip. Maybe most importantly, there are emergency assistance services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in the event you need a medical referral or travel assistance.

Optional coverages are available on this plan:

  • Emergency Medical Evacuation: If you are badly injured and your medical provider deems it necessary to transport you to a more adequate medical facility, this option will most likely cover the cost of that transport. Be sure to read all the eligibility details in the full certificate of the plan.
  • War Risk: This is required for travel to Area 1 countries (which are listed in the plan’s full certificate) and will automatically be added to the plan if this is the case. If you will be traveling to an Area 2 country, the War Risk rider will not automatically be added to your plan, but it is highly recommended that you do purchase the option. Area 3 countries are low risk, and it is your choice if you want to ad War Risk coverage, but it is recommended. For more information, see the list of Area 1, 2 and 3 countries in the full plan certificate. War Risk coverage is not available inside the U.S. or your home country.
