Legally you are protected, but to not protect your customer's expenditure from the corona virus is immoral and poor long term planning. Congratulations, you made money but I and many I have spoken to will self insure in the future.
Why not offer a credit on a customer's next policy as an olive branch to retain future customers.

InsureMyTrip gave phone number for me to contact the International Medical Group iTravelInsured SE directly with regard to the Novel Coronavirus but when I called the phone number no one answered and then I found out that if you let it ring about 20 times someone will pickup and then say the computer system is down and they cannot review any policy at this time. This went on for four consecutive days before I gave up.

Generali Global Assistance Standard
Stunned at the increase in price along with aging. Most seniors are on a fixed income and the extra cost put a bit of a crimp on my trip spending. I have never made a claim on travel insurance (thankfully). However, it is good to know IF something should happen I will be covered.

AIG Travel Travel Guard Protect Assist
I've bought travel insurance for years "just in case." Well, this time we needed it. My husband broke one ankle and sprained the other while we were traveling in Cambodia. He ended up visiting two hospitals in Cambodia, and spending several nights as an inpatient at the wonderful Royal Phnom Penh Hospital. The hospital contacted AIG and helped us fill out forms and told us to keep copies of itemized receipts. (We paid out of pocket and were reimbursed.) My husband needed a nurse to fly with him back to the USA from Cambodia and the insurance handled all of that, rebooking flights so my husband and the nurse flew business class so my husband's legs could remain elevated during the flight. I can't imagine having to navigate all this on my own. Filing our claim and uploading documents was easy, as was checking on their status. We were reimbursed for all expenses, thanks to keeping all of our receipts. We are definitely getting AIG travel insurance our next trip, though I'm hoping we don't actually need to use it again!

Travelex Travel Basic
I normally do not insure my travel because I can afford the cost of a loss on most trips. However, I wanted to insure my 3-week Indochina trip because I have a 93-year old father in shaky health. It was good to have the assurance that if something happened (it did not!), I'd not lose all the travel investment. Because I did not need to file a claim and can't really compare these costs to other trips I insured, it's hard to rate satisfaction. I can say that I talked with James only 2 times (after first and second main expenditures) and that was a very easy set-up and he provided good advice.

I didn't need the insurance, but it was good I had it, just in case. A flight was cancelled on my return, but the airline comped a room and food vouchers, so no need for a claim. Had the cancellation been due to weather, the insurance would have been handy.

I bought the plan on line and had to change the departure date. It was painless - the InsureMyTrip agent I spoke with was nice and help with the change quickly.

This plan has what I was looking for and it was reasonably priced. Fortunately, I didn't have to use/file any claim so I can't rate how it actually was.

I would recommend using this website to buy travel insurance and will definitely use again.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Plus
Do Not be decieved in buying insurance that says cancel for any reason. It is not completely factual. You must cancel with in 48 hours for any reason. Otherwise not all reasons are covered. As was our case. So we wasted 164.00 on this insurance.

    For Cancel for Any Reason, it is industry standard to require your trip to be cancelled 48-72 hours prior to your Scheduled Departure Date. The C+F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Plus does require that you cancel 48 hours prior to departure. The certificate states the following:

    'If You cancel Your Trip for any reason not otherwise covered by this Policy, benefits will be paid for 75% of the Prepaid, forfeited, non-refundable Payments or Deposits You paid for Your Trip provided:
    a) Your Payment for this Policy and enrollment form are received within 21 days of the date Your initial Payment or Deposit for Your Trip is received;
    b) You insure 100% of the Prepaid Trip costs that are subject to cancellation penalties or restrictions and also insure within 21 days of the Payment or Deposit for those Travel Arrangements the cost of any subsequent Travel Arrangements (or any other Travel Arrangements not made through Your travel agent) added to Your Trip; and
    c) You cancel Your Trip 48 hours or more before Your Scheduled Departure Date.'
