I travel several times per year and many times outside of the country. I have never purchased travel insurance before. I am pretty much a fly by the seat of my pants kind of girl. I received an email from my cruise company that in order to go to New Caledonia, I would have to have coverage. This was just a couple of weeks before my cruise. I jumped on the internet in order to purchase insurance and was able to purchase with ease and it seemed to be a reasonable price. Oddly, New Caledonia never asked to see proof of the coverage while I was visiting so I really didn't need the coverage but at least it was easy to obtain.

Global Alert! Preferred
There were several promises to follow up on my claim but no-one ever called. It took two and a half months to receive the payment and there were no problems!! We submitted everything in a timely manor and then just waited without knowing if Global Alert was alert or not!!
