Generali Global Assistance Standard
This insurance gave us peace of mind when we thought we were going to miss our connection in Chicago due to weather. Luckily our connection was also delayed, so our vacation stayed on track.

I thought we purchased a good plan with good coverage. I have had an open claim since October, I do not think this is a reasonable timeframe for resolution. I was told before Christmas that the claim was close to being finalized. When I followed up over a month ago, I was told it was being reviewed by a supervisor and would hear shortly. When I called today, I was told the same. Everyone else that traveled with me has been reimbursed by their insurance companies months ago, I am very disappointed. I just received an email saying the claim was denied. Why did that take 5 months?

    Thank you very much for your review. However, your claim was correctly denied by the insurance company since it did not meet the crteria listed in the policy which is stated below:

    "TRIP INTERRUPTION
    The Company will pay a benefit, up to the maximum shown on the Confirmation of Coverage, if You are unable to continue on Your Covered Trip due to:
    .....
    (j) Natural disaster at the site of Your destination that renders the destination accommodations uninhabitable;
    (l) Weather that causes complete cessation of services of the Common Carrier for at least twenty-four (24) consecutive."

    In order for a claim to be payable, it must meet one of the criteria in the policy, such as, these 2 named perils. The policies don't work on the assumption that something might happen while on your trip. Coverage kicks in once a covered event actually occurs. Unfortunately, the fact that you made the choice not to go before an unforeseen event occurred will make you ineligible for any payments lost or additional expenses incurred.

AIG Travel Travel Guard MedEvac Plan
I can't say that it was great or not as we didn't need it. But I think this was the type of coverage we needed and it was good to know it was in place in case something happened.

While hiking I did take a spill but just scraped my knees (and my camera didn't get smashed). It could have been a lot worse and I was imagining what could have happened but had confidence that if needed you would have been there to assist. Thanks so much for this type of coverage.

AIG Travel Travel Guard Basic
We have used Insuremytrip and AIG Travel Guard Basic for 5 trips now. We needed to file claims on 2 past trips and were completely satisfied with how quick and easy AIG was to work with. Based on our past experiences we will continue to purchase AIG Travel Guard Basic for all of our future travel plans.

AIG Travel Travel Guard Gold
I own a small business and AIG has the only plan where I'm covered if I need to cancel a trip if something happens that I have to take care of in my business. They're the only company I'll work with anymore.

AIG Travel Travel Guard Gold
Purchased insurance for a Hawaii cruise. Price was reasonable, more than some, less than others. Decent coverage, all things considered. The returning flight was cancelled (reason unknown), but airline would not offer any assistance for lodging and food to board the same flight next day. Booked a hotel and filed a claim upon returning home. Process was quirky (created claim, by EACH person and submitted receipts). No notice other than a claim filed email. Progress checks only said that..."In Progress". Then suddenly one month later, a second email saying the claim would be paid (less luggage storage fees). Check arrived today, Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas!
