I guess the old saying still holds true, namely that you get what you pay for. This policy appeared to be a good value, but the coverage was less than expected. Specifically, I lost a day of touring because of a traveling companion's medical problems and expected a reimbursement for that day's loss. Instead, I was informed that no benefits would be paid. The plan apparently says that for an all-inclusive tour like we were on, pro-rata benefits are payable only if an, "entire day, including the overnight accommodations, must be missed." Although we spent our touring time in the local hospital's Emergency Room, that is not sufficient. Some of that is my fault for not reading ALL the FINE print, but what is NOT my fault is that it took 6 months for them to reject the claim. This is, therefore, not a company I would be quick to ever use again.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We are sorry to learn that you were dissatisfied with your claim experience. The claims administrator is required to adjudicate claims based on the terms and conditions of the policy.
We do want you and your fellow customers to be aware that InsureMyTrip offers a Customer Advocate Program. Customer Advocates are representatives assigned to assist customers who experience issues after filing a claim. Requesting a Customer Advocate is as simple as calling 800-487-4722 or emailing [email protected], explaining the events which resulted in a claim, and the challenges you are facing.Jun 05,2017
