Hi Melanie,
Thank you for your review. The waiver of Pre Existing Conditions is a time sensitive benefit. If you wait too long, or on some plans purchase after you have made your final trip payment, coverage for pre existing medical conditions will no longer be available. You must buy travel insurance soon after your first trip payment/deposit in order to meet the deadline for qualification. Typically, the requirement is anywhere from 10-21 days after the deposit. We bought this plan mainly because they offer emergency and travel assistance. We had problems with our air carrier on the way back. I called the services, explained the problem and got assurances that they would call/email us back to provide help. We have never heard from them again. Years ago, we had been in the same situation and experienced great help from another insurance company. NOT this time. Will never use them again.
