The email responses take too long. It's supposed to be an international plan but it does not account for ways for people overseas to get in touch. I twice requested a phone call back via email as international calls to the 800-number based in the USA are expensive and there's no way to call collect from a cell phone. However both times I didn't receive an email back until 1-2 days later and no one ever called me back as requested. Thankfully there was no emergency and i decided I could live without the follow-up. In theory it covers the basics in case of an emergency abroad. In practice, I haven't had to put it to the test.

C&F Travel Insured International Trip Protector Lite Expanded
Unfortunately several personal items disappeared from Shumbulala Safari Lodge. Travel Insured acted promptly and fairly and my claim was settled.
I think I should advise Trip Advisor.

My chief concern in purchasing this plan was to protect against the financial impact of serious illness in my elderly father, illness which might lead me to cancel the trip before it started or which might require me to return home early. I am glad to have this insurance and happy that I was able to complete the trip without interruption.
