I didn’t have any claims which is great - I am a firm believer that if you prepare for the worst, it probably won’t happen. Having this policy gave me peace of mind that if something did go wrong, we would be covered.

GeoBlue Voyager Choice
As others have said, I can’t really comment on how good the plan was because we fortunately did not need it. Given we drove over 1700 miles in the U.K., the possibility of an accident was not small. We felt good knowing we would have been covered or shipped home dead or alive if need be.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
This insurance plan gave us great peace of mind that we were covered if anything unexpected happened during the planning phase and during our trip. It also covered our car rental insurance so there wasn’t a need for additional coverage with the rental company.

I didn't have to use the plan, but it seemed to be comprehensive and was a bit less expensive than other plans I have gotten in the past through the tour companies I was using. I appreciated that!

AIG Travel Travel Guard Basic
Hard to tell. Buying a policy and having no claim doesn't say much but ok. Cost of policies are very high.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Essential
Every Insurance plan looks good before you need to use it. When it's needed you really get to see what the company is all about. I wIll NEVER chose this company for travel insurance again. My father passed away and we were unable to take the trip we planned. This company just compounded our grief several-fold. Nationwide strung out the claim process, asking repeatedly for information that I wasn't even asking reimbursement for ( airline tickets). Icelandic air reimbursed me within 3 days when I called to cancel the flight due to my fathers death. They did not have to do that but they did. I never requested airline reimbursement from Nationwide. I was assured 2x's with my phone calls and inquiries that they had everything they required and the claim was being processed, and being reviewed by an adjuster. Today the day the check was to be mailed, low and behold another email asking for an airline agreement. Today I was feed up and called INSUREMYTRIP to be my advocate, they contacted the insurers rep and guess what, they again requested the airline agreement that isn't required. Always buy your travel insurance through this agent, then if problems arise you have an advocate. Chose a different provider than Nationwide. As a side note, my fathers life insurance policies all paid before this travel insurance policy.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Lite

    Depending on the reason for your canceled flight, you may have had coverage under Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption or Travel Delay.

    Trip Cancellation reimburses you for your prepaid expenses if you must cancel your trip prior to departure for a covered reason while Trip Interruption reimburses you for your unused prepaid expenses if you must interrupt your trip during travel for those same covered reasons which will vary from plan to plan.

    Travel Delay coverage is typically available to help get you back on track with your trip by reimbursing you for increased costs that you may incur. Travel Delay coverage is based on "Hazards" that are defined in each policy and will vary from plan to plan.
