The lanquage of the terms and conditions, ie., covered events was unclear. Even as a lawyer, I found it unnecessarily difficult to find out what was or was not covered.

The peace of mind the plan provided for sailing during hurricanes season was worth the premium. We sailed out of Tampa one week before hurricane Michael.

    Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR), which is an optional coverage that is available in some plans for an additional premium, allows you to cancel your trip prior to departure for other than a covered reason. There are 3 conditions that must be met to purchase a Cancel For Any Reason Rider as follows: Purchase the policy within 10-21 days of First Trip Payment; Insure ALL prepaid and non-refundable travel expenses prior to departure; Trip must be canceled more than 2-3 days prior to departure date. If you meet all 3 of these conditions, most of the policies will reimburse you for 50% to 75% of your trip costs depending on the plan you select.

    Although it may appear to be expensive, CFAR does reimburse you with a check while most cruise lines provide you only with a voucher for a future trip.
