AIG Travel Travel Guard Gold
It’s been 2 months with back and forths with the claims adjuster. I actually feel sorry for her but they’ve made every effort to discredit the documents submitted. It’s a tactic to make you lose patience and walk away... or the staff is not scaled up enough to conduct proper service. Perhaps this was one random incident but it’s the worst insurance experience I’ve had. They are going to simply provide an email to request a premium refund instead of paying out the claim. Strongly suggest you try someone else. I’m stunned a brand of this insurance company’s caliber has such a shoddy response when a claim is made. I am never buying personal or commercial protection from them again.

Generali Global Assistance Standard
The plan gave me the security of knowing I had coverage should something happen and I needed medical or other assistance. I did not need to file a claim but felt assured if the need arose.

Generali Global Assistance Standard
We took out this insurance due to a family member with Stage 4 Merkle Cell Carcinoma, not knowing how long she would last, or if we could take a long-planned week's vacation in Italy. We'd never taken trip insurance before, and decided the $175 cost was a worthwhile investment. After my sister took a turn for the worst, we decided we would have to re-book our flight with SwissAir to a time later this year after the uncertainty of my sister's condition would not be an issue. But after reading about 30 pages of the 'fine print', we realized that this cancer was a pre-existing condition and we would not be covered for her illness. Very, very disappointed in having wasted $175 on a policy that has many exclusions.

    "We're sorry to hear about the circumstances surrounding your experience, and for not meeting your expectations. We want our customers to choose the correct policy to fit their needs and stress the importance of reviewing your coverage details via the sample Description of Coverage/ Insurance Policy that’s provided at the time of purchase, and contacting (800) 348-9505 or (emailing) csa@csatravelprotection.com with additional questions. We also offer a free look back period with all of our plans to allow customers to cancel their policies within a designated period as long as they haven't already left on their trip or filed a claim. If you have additional questions please contact us at the number or email provided above."

Generali Global Assistance Standard
Fortunately we did not have to use the plan coverage, which is the only reason I cannot confirm if it "covered everything" and why I rated it a 4 star. However the woman who helped me with the program when I first signed on for the 3 passengers involved was amazing, patient, clear in explanation and very thorough both on the phone and in email follow up. I am sorry I cannot recall her name but I give her 10 stars for customer service and I would certainly use this plan again on future trips.
