In future I would pay for the "cancellation for any reason" coverage. We had to change our plans due to issues at the location that didn't qualify as "terrorism" or a covered event, so coverage wasn't available. The tour company made it up to us, but if they hadn't we would have been out extra expenses without insurance. My bad, not the companies.

I don't have any claim, so I really can't say much about the plan. One of our friends uses the Global Alert and they had the claims. They are very satisfied with Global Alert. Hope that I don't have to file a claim. However, if I do, I am sure that I should get the same service.

I love how quick and easy it was to insure my trip to Nepal. Also, having insurance gave me comfort to know that if anything would have happened to me than my family would have been taken care of.

The coverage was great, helped me feel a lot more secure about traveling to a foreign country. I do think everyone traveling would be wise to get insurance, I know I will next time I'm going to travel outside the country.

Worldwide Trip Protector
Although we did not file a claim, making it hard to critically review the service, it was certainly a comfort having this insurance and knowing we were covered during our adventure trekking in the Himalaya. The InsureMyTrip.com website was incredibly helpful and easy to use, allowing for selection of exactly the type of coverage we were looking for and easy comparison of similar plans. I highly recommend this site to others and definitely plan to use it again in the future.
