John Hancock Gold
I purchased this John Hancock Gold plan to cover the specifics I needed such as step-family members. Also, because I was cruising to Hawaii, I wanted to ensure I had evacuation coverage should I need it (actually one of our fellow passengers got medically evacuated via helicopter....hope she had this plan...). This plan covered what I needed, including insurance covering the flight in case of a crash. Many plans don't offer flight insurance as part of their plans.

I've purchased various travel insurance plans from Insuremytrip.com and have been happy with all of them. IMT.com has many insurance plans and price options. This John Hancock Gold plan met my needs very well without breaking the bank. Certainly worth the price for the peace of mind.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Lite
After a phone call, I was given the information needed to apply for a refund of medical expenses due to an illness on our cruise. I was treated professionally, and courteously, and able to complete the paperwork that was necessary. It has been mailed as of 12/15/16. Excellent phone staff.

Allianz Global Assistance Basic
My husband was hospitalized for 23 days with an emergency the month before our cruise was to begin. I sent the hospital report and discharge papers, the physician's directive to not travel, the travel contract and proof of insurance purchase. Within a short two weeks, the claim was paid. We were so grateful there was no hassle and no other burden of proof. Instead, I filed an electronic claim that remained open a few days until I was able to provide all of the required documentation. The email back to me with the claim number was quick and I could track the progress of the status. Excellent, excellent service. No one wants a reason to file a claim but if you do, having the support of the Allianz team is outstanding. They are my go-to insurance company.
