I purchased this plan, and am glad I did. I broke my leg in England, and the hospital there could not do the surgery for at least three weeks. So I called Travelex and they did a superb job of getting me back to the USA, where the surgery took place almost as soon as I arrived. Travelex sent a trauma nurse to get me home, arranged for a stretcher flight to take me home, had ambulances waiting in multiple places, had passport and customs officials process me on the plane before I got off, and paid my hospital bills and ambulance bills in England. They also arranged for the US hospital to be expecting me and have me signed in so I could immediately be prepared for surgery. I will never again travel overseas without this insurance. I have told my grown children that if they ever go out of the country that if they do not purchase the insurance that I will purchase it for them. In addition to getting me back to the USA Travelex promptly reimbursed me for things I paid for but could not participate in because of my accident -- because the insurance included trip interruption.

I did not use the plan but the cost made it affordable to have in the event of an emergency should I have needed it. In other words I am glad to know I had the insurance while traveling for 4 different countries. Will definitely consider another policy with them when I travel back to the UK. Thanks so much.

AXA Assistance USA Gold
Received my check to settle my claim. I am being paid in full for my out-of-pocket medical costs with no deductible as the policy states. Great policy. AXA was quick to process claim and was in communication with us.

We had lost luggage for 10 days. Turns out that they like to collect premiums but don't really like to pay claims.

    Upon receipt of your review, we did contact AXA Assistance USA claims department who advised that you did call AXA claims because you had a baggage delay. However, you did not wish to provide supporting documentation so you decided that you would not file the claim. Of course, we respect your decision not to proceed with your claim but supporting documentation is a necessary requirement when filing a claim with any insurance carrier.

CSA Travel Protection Custom
The last leg of my flight from London was cancelled because someone set fire in air traffic control center at OHare. I was stranded overnight in Chicago with many others and couldn't get rental car home til the next morning when my rescheduled flight was also canceled. CSA refused to cover rental (even though United Airlines would not pay) because they said it was not a mechanical breakdown of aircraft or terrorist incident. InsureMyTrip.com rep said even though it was not technically covered, "I couldn't imagine the insurance companies we represent to not offer some sort of compensation or assistance." CSA std response is get a plan to fit your needs, but they couldn't tell me any plan that would cover my situation. What good is insurance if it won't cover that?

CSA Travel Protection Custom
Thankfully we didn't need to use our trip insurance, but it was nice to know we had it.
Several passengers on our ship became ill and had to leave. I found myself hoping that they
had good travel insurance.
