Seven Corners Liaison International
It is difficult to say that we don't recommend Seven Corners at all as they are the only company offering medical coverage in USA for non-US residents. But is really a problem to get compensation of your medical expenses from them every time when you are filling a claim there. As an example - we still don't have compensation for claims dated Nov 16 and Nov 22 2017 although (after long phone talks and additional documents provided) they agreed that both claims are totally legit and should be paid for - nevertheless they are still saying - you will get your checks in 6 weeks(?!). And more - they are only paying you 80% of your claim amount - although we paid additional premium to have zero deductibles! Thus - as all monopolists - they are very hard to deal with when you really need their cooperation

    Most travel insurance providers that offer Single-Trip Medical plans for travel within the US will have coinsurance. Seven Corners does have coinsurance and have the following terms for the Liaison International plan:

    "Traveling Inside the United States:
    After a Plan Participant pays the Deductible, the plan pays 80% of the next ,000 of eligible expenses, then 100% to the selected Medical Maximum."

The instructions on how to fill out section that determines the claim amount was lacking. I called the claims phone number to get some guidance. Due to the heavy accent of the person answering, I was unable to understand half of what was being said. Later I found out that I did not fill the section correctly, and I had to refile an amended claim.

All positive, I use this service almost every trip. Takes a lot of worry out of the equation and removes financial liability which is a good thing.

AIG Travel Travel Guard Gold
The two times I contacted for coverage I was told it was not covered. Missing a plane and extending my coverage time frame. I don’t see the benefit you offer. I would not recommend your company.

    Thank you for submitting your comments. As you were advised by AIG, you can only extend a comprehensive plan prior to your departure date. In addition, we can certainly understand your disappointment when AIG advised you that there was no coverage for your missed flight. However, all comprehensive plans including your AIG Travel Guard Gold plan are "named peril" policies that would only reimburse you for specific covered reasons that are listed in the policy.

    For example, why did you miss your flight? Your policy would provide coverage for Travel Delay but only if you were delayed more than five consecutive days for the following reasons:
    "(a) the Insured being involved in or delayed due to a traffic
    accident while en route to a departure as substantiated by a police report;
    (b) Common Carrier delay;
    (c) the Insured’s or Traveling Companion’s lost or stolen
    passports, travel documents or money;
    (d) reasons listed under Trip Cancellation and Interruption."

    We regret that you are not pleased with this purchase. Nevertheless we do hope that you will consider calling InsureMyTrip customer care in the future for assistance in quoting and purchasing a policy. Allianz Global Assistance Classic Trip Plus
It's not sufficient for satisfying German (Schengen) Visa requirements, so in the end I have to cancel/refund it, and switch to another one.

    Thank you very much for your comments, but please note that your Allianz policy did include a refund policy stating "Satisfaction Guarantee: We will refund your insurance premium if you cancel your plan within 10 days of purchase and you haven’t started your trip or filed a claim." Unfortunately, you did not advise us that you were purchasing another plan until January 23rd which was well after your purchase date of October 27, 2017 so that you were no longer eligible for a refund.

    In the future, you may wish to call Customer Care at (800) 487-4722 for assistance weekdays from 7:00 AM to midnight ET and weekends from 9:00 to 9:00 PM ET.
