I was a little uneasy about how trip interruption coverage would work. We had a risk of a connection getting missed, but it still seemed to be the best out there. Bottom line, we didn't need to use it but was glad to have glad it.

Given the coverages that were included in the plan, the cost of the plan seemed reasonable as compared to my research of other plans offered by other companies. I cannot attest to how the company actually handles claims, as we did not need to submit any.

I always use InsureMyTrip to obtain travel insurance. The site is easy to use & offers many options & insurers. I believe I have used an AIG insurance product more than other carriers, likely because they seem to offer the features and price that I need. I have never made a claim, fortunately have never had to. I can't actually recall the features of his particular plan for this trip.

Fortunately I didn't need to use the plan but it was there in case of an emergency. Only wish they could be fine-tuned a bit more. I don't need medical but do need repatriation as well as coverage for tour costs.

We did not have to file any claim so it is hard to say how well the plan would worked for us if we had to file a claim. However, the fact that we had purchased the travel protection during our trip gave us a good feeling that we were "covered" in case any issue would have arisen. Judging from the efficiency and professionalism of the people we dealt with when we purchased the plan, we feel that they would have responded very well if we had filed a claim. Based on this limited experience, we would certainly consider purchasing the travel protection from CSA again. Obviously, if the cost of coverage was a little lower, we would have liked it even better. Overall, we feel it is a good plan especially for older folks who travel abroad.

The best part about this plan is that we did not have to use it, but knew we had it as a backup in an uncertain world. As well, the auto rental insurance coverage part saved us a lot of money vs. having to purchase coverage through the rental company. In the US our auto policy covers rentals, but not overseas.
