Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
I know it’s a state by state thing but I wish I could get a “cancel for any reason” plan and a plan that you don’t have to be directly involved with an auto accident. What about if you get stuck in a three hour traffic jam due to auto accident on road? Thought plan was a bit overpriced as well. Customer service rep was fantastic!

To clarify your comment on Travel Delay, you are eligible up to the maximum benefit amount, which is per day and per person.

If you take nothing else away from this review, please know that you DO NOT want to purchase travel insurance from this particular company. I had a trip planned in Spring 2022 which was canceled by the trip organizer. I ended up getting most of my money back from the organizer, except for my flight + one night hotel stay. Therefore, my insurance claim was only for this smaller portion...the flight + one night hotel. It took over 8 months to get resolved, and it was only because I was persistent. I was told they were backlogged so I was respectful and gave them plenty of time to respond to me (ie, 4-6 weeks at a time). There was no follow-up on their end, I know they just wanted to ignore the claim and hope it goes away. They were so disorganized, asking me for the same documents over and over. I called in twice and my call was "escalated" both times. Escalated is a joke, nothing different happened. I was also asked verbally about the same information that I provided via email numerous times. Finally, I asked them for my money back...that's when they decided to take my claim seriously, I guess. I would NOT recommend this company unless you want to add over 8 months of stress and hassle to your life. Looks elsewhere.

For the FIRST time, we needed to file a claim after years of purchasing plans with no issue. I can't say enough good things about Generali! We had a cancelled flight, rebooked alternate airline, and then lost luggage! We had a variety of unexpected costs. There was work involved to document every instance (save the cancelled flight info, obtain a REASON for cancellation, save receipts for purchases). In the end, Generali supported our claim & we were so relieved. I plan to choose Generali for our next trip.
