We purchased the CSA Travel Protection plan primarily to cover catastrophic emergencies (e.g. needing to be airlifted off of a cruise ship) while on vacation. We selected it after comparing price and coverage of several plans as a happy compromise between price and coverage, figuring it came closest to covering our specific needs. Since we did not need to use the policy for any reason while on vacation (always a good thing when you do not need to use your insurance policy) the only thing I can review is the fact that the policy was reasonable in its cost and what it covered, and that it gave my wife and me peace of mind while on vacation. We will use CSA again for our next cruise.

Nothing went wrong, so really can't comment on how well the plan was or on John Hancock policies are. Seemed adequate when we bought it, thankfully, we didn't have t use it.

Cruise ship did not go to Bermuda because of Hurricane Nicole but couldn't file a claim because of that. Otherwise, we had the peace of mind of having the travel insurance and were fortunate enough that there was no need to use it.
