Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
We were very happy with the policy and Generali was easy to work with when we had to contact them about a possible cancellation. Generali informed us there is a section on the claim form the physician needs to complete if the trip is cancelled. Thus, I recommend you obtain the claim form (digital copy would be fine) when you buy the insurance policy so if you visit a physician who determines you have to cancel your trip, the physician can complete the section at that time ... who wants to come back to get the form completed at a later date. Generali emailed the form to me while I was on the phone with them so we had it when we visited the physician ... fortunately we were given the green light to travel!

Fortunately I didn't need to file a claim, but it was nice to know I was covered if something happened. Since Citibank has reduced the travel benefits of their credit cards having travel insurance has become more important to me.

I am an educated, thrifty shopper. I did my research and found this plan to be the most comprehensive for the coverage I needed, at the best price. I'd use them again. Glad I didn't need it!

As I never had occasion to file a claim, it’s next to impossible to evaluate the company and its policies. But with a 90 year old mother and with me now being on Medicare, any foreign travel requires such insurance- preferably ‘insure for any risk’ in order to cover pre-existing conditions- and to provide both medical and automobile liability insurance for myself and any friends accompanying me.

Thank you for your feedback. Comprehensive plans are designed to cover as many risks as possible, but is very rare for any insurance plan to cover all possible risks.
With this plan, the exclusion for Pre-Existing Condition will be waived provided:
a) Your Payment or Deposit for this Policy and enrollment form are received within 24 hours of the final Payment for Your Trip or before the final Payment for Your Trip; and
b) You are not disabled from travel at the time Your premium is paid.
For your state of residence, this policy covers 500,000USD per person in Medical.
While this policy does have 40,000USD in Rental Car coverage, it would not cover liability, as that would be an exclusion on all travel insurance policies offered on our site.

First time purchasing travel insurance. Looks like coverage was good and price was reasonable. Fortunately, I did not need to file a claim so I can't really give an opinion of how well the insurance covers anything or the customer service.
