Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
Fortunately, I did not need to use C&F's Trip Protector coverage. So I cannot comment on customer service or the complications (or ease) of filing paperwork and being reimbursed for overseas medical bills.
That said, I had peace of mind knowing I was covered for an emergency through C&F's Trip Protector. I opted for the additional "bed rest" coverage, and I am glad I did. A fellow travel had to isolate in a hotel for a week or so, because of covid. Had it been me, my hotel costs would have been covered. I don't believe he was so fortunate.
In terms of the survey questions, it is annoying to be required to rate insurance I did not use (and so cannot honestly answer about satisfaction or if everything I thought was covered actually would have been). Price seems quite fair.

Seems like good coverage but how is one to know unless they make a claim?? That is the only way to know just how comprehensive the coverage is and how helpful the service is……
Fortunately my trip went well, no mishaps and no need to utilize insurance coverage.

Thank you for your review. Please see the following response from AIG Travel Guard.
"“Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. AIG Travel is treating COVID-19 like any other unexpected illness. If you contract COVID-19 prior to your departure, you may be covered for Trip Cancellation if there is a confirmed diagnosis, including proof of illness from your doctor that states you are medically unable to travel at the time of departure. If you become ill with COVID-19 while on a covered trip, you could be covered for Medical Expense, Trip Interruption, Trip Delay, and Emergency Medical Evacuation benefits if there is a confirmed diagnosis, including proof of illness from a doctor.
Trip Interruption can provide coverage for the unused portion of your prepaid and non-refundable expenses, as well as additional transportation expenses incurred to return home or rejoin your trip.
Trip Delay can provide coverage for additional expenses you may incur for hotel, meals and certain transportation costs incurred if you are required by a physician to quarantine.
Medical Expense and Emergency Medical Evacuation can provide coverage for medical expenses incurred while being treated for COVID-19.

I sent them proof I was in a medical facility at the time of my flight showing I missed my flight, with an additional note from the treatment center that I should not fly that day. I showed them the booking information and receipts. They rejected my claim saying they wanted the itinerary (sent them the flight booking info with all related flight info and price), proof I paid via credit card receipts (how would I have booking receipt with flight info if I didn't pay?), and a letter from the booking company or airline saying I did not fly (even though I gave them the medical proof I was being treated. The booking company automatically lists you as flying if you don't cancel the flight ahead of time (which I did not because of the medical issue) and the airline (Spirit) resells your seat if you do not check in on time so someone flew, just not me!! Horrible, I have filed claims with other companies and they have never been this difficult, and all for an approx. $300 claim! I still have not received my money and they closed the case.
