The plan I picked seemed to offer all the coverage I wanted and the price was reasonable. I did not have any problems with our trip so there was no need to file a claim. So I don't know how the company actually handles claims.

I am not sure how to use a product I have not used - I did not file a claim. I find that it is really easy to buy a travel insurance policy and very hard to collect any benefits.

If I’d had a problem, it would have been well worth the money, but my entire trip went smoothly so it was a bet we placed together, and this time you won! My mother and I just got back from a trip to Kenya from the USA, and our tour operator required trip insurance. We typically purchase trip insurance when we go abroad, but for some reason, this time, the insurance was over $700 for both of us, WAY more than we've ever paid. (Typically it's $2-300). While I was very disappointed in the price, the coverage seemed very good. Thankfully we did not have to use the insurance. I was impressed with the insuremytrip website, it made it easy to compare plans and prices.
