My flight was cancelled and no flights were available for this and the following days. I didn't get any refund from airline for the cancelation because it was connected flight. We rented a car and drove 16 hours to get home next day. I filed the claim and got a full refund for car rental and other expenses on the way back. Claim was paid within 2 months. I would use this insurance again.

We made an emergency telephone contact to help track down covid test results so we could board our return flight to the US. The agent was solicitous but her plan to have their agent in Peru didn’t contact us before we went ahead and obtained a quick test at the airport

The travel company cancelled my trip and I rebooked for 2023. The airfare was separate so I tried to get that amount back from the insurance company. It wasn't covered as this policy does not cover if a tour company cancels - apparently you must have the 'cancel for no reason' policy. Obviously will keep that in mind for next time. The airline did give me a credit so it worked out but I was lucky.

Good coverage at a reasonable cost. I appreciated the notice emailed to me several days before my trip began, this gave me comfort.

All went well. I did not need to file a claim. It was reassuring to have the policy.

Do not do business with this company! Truly the worst experience with an insurance company I ever had. The company denied my claim because: “United Airlines indicates the purchased airline tickets have a credit value that can be applied toward future travel. A credit is not considered a loss until the credit is no longer available for use. United has indicated the credit is valid for one year from the issue date. The issue date is November 20, 2019. Additionally, they have indicated change fees would be waived for these tickets if exchanged. In the event the credit remains unused and is not reissued prior to the expiration date, please contact iTI® at 866.243.7524 once the credit has expired for further claim consideration. Documentation will be required from the United Airlines stating credit has expired and was not used.”

This decision is not only at odds with public policy on corporate responsibility in an unprecedented business environment, but is incorrect for the following legal reasons:
1. I purchased non-refundable airline tickets for a trip that we preemptively canceled due to the Covid-19 Pandemic using the Cancel for Any Reason provision within our policy. Had we not taken these preemptive measures to protect our family and fellow world citizens out of an abundance of caution, we would have been entitled to a full refund of the airfare when the flight was officially canceled.
2. I was unable to find an explicit stipulation that a non-refundable airline travel credit must expire before a claim can be filed identified in the terms and conditions of my policy. Moreover, while the “loss” they referred to as basis for denial is not a defined term in my insurance policy, it is generally accepted that a loss refers to the monetary injury that results from the occurrence of the contingency for which the insurance was taken out. There is no situation that will occur to make non-refundable travel credits refundable. These credits cannot legitimately be construed as monetary currency, and as such we incurred the loss on the date we canceled the flights.
3. We specifically indicated on the Authorization form of our claim that we will not be using our airline tickets and included a copy of the electronic ticket confirmation which included the ticket numbers as appropriate. It is our expectation that the company would follow standard business practice and request the airline void any non-refundable credits pursuant to the claim and pay out on the legitimate claim submitted. We are absolute in our statement that we will not ever use these credits, as we do not plan to travel by plane at any time in the foreseeable future.

The Company denied my appeal without addressing the points noted above, instead citing general policy language regarding irrelevant terms, which explicitly construed were satisfied - very bizarre.

Thank heavens we didn't need the plan, although with the coronavirus pandemic happening during our trip, we were very happy to have the insurance.

My wife and I were on a land and sea vacation with Princess Cruises. My wife became ill the last 3 days on the Coral Princess. We had to see the doctor at 3:45am. When we returned home I submitted the appropriate paper work required by C&F Travel insurance. Three weeks later I received an email from them stating that they approved our claim and a check would be sent to us in about on week. Glad we purchased the travel insurance. We have purchased travel insurances in the past on many of our trips and never used it. On this trip it paid off!!
We did pay for the option of making this insurance our primary so we did not have to submit multiple paperwork. One negative comment is that when submitting documents via email to C&F you can only send a maximum of a 12mb file which was not stated in there forms. I had to submit 2 different files.
I would recommend C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector. In my case, they came through!
