Would be great to have coverage for a shorter flight delay range. My plan had over 6 hours delay coverage, and flight was delayed for 3.5 hours total. Otherwise, this is good option to insure your trips.

As far as I know, the travel insurance actually covers what it says it covers. We did not need to file any claims so I can't comment on how difficult (or easy) that aspect might be.

My only complaint would be that our team consisted of people from four states, and we had to buy travel insurance separately for each state. That is rather awkward, and I was astonished at how different the costs were for the same coverage in each state.

    Thank you for your feedback on the policy. Since travel insurance is regulated by the State that you reside in, travel insurance providers require all the travelers to live within the same state in order to be listed on the same plan. You would still be considered Traveling Companions in the event of the claim if you are traveling together.

AIG Travel Travel Guard Basic
My husband's health took a turn for the worse shortly before our scheduled cruise. His physician recommended that he not travel at that time. We filed a cancellation claim and were very satisfied with the outcome. It took about a month for the claim to be processed. I chose to handle the claim via their website and the process was easy to follow.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with this plan. One great piece of the coverage that may go unnoticed is that they cover up to $250 in airline ticket change fees when incurred FOR ANY REASON--not just when initiated by the airline or under certain conditions. I had a $200 change penalty reimbursed under this plan when I had to change a ticket on Delta to an earlier flight because my original itinerary didn't fit with the schedule for my group, and it was no problem at all. (Note, though, that this only applies to the change penalty, not the difference in ticket price, and it's only covered once per trip.)

My only thought was that I was over insured. The tour I was on had some coverage, but not cancellation insurance. So I felt I was paying double for similar coverage. However your price was the best I could find. I can't speak for your abilities in covering all these things as my trip was went off without a hitch.

TruTravel Insurance Premier
My wife and I unfortunately had to cancel our cruise vacation due to a medical issue. The cancellation portion of our insurance was effective and covered all of our costs associated with this cancellation. The provider was easy to reach by phone and was prompt in sending the claim forms to me by email. After the claim was submitted I received my reimbursement within two weeks. I’m very pleased with this coverage and would highly recommend it to others.
