Unfortunately I did have an incident where I had to contact the insurance upon my arrival in Italy. Their response was immediate and made me feel that I had resources available to me. I could not have asked for better service or a more helpful response as well as prompt handling of my claim once received.

This was the first time I purchased trip insurance, but with planning a 3 week European trip with a friend, I thought it was prudent to do so. It provided piece of mind if one or both of us got sick and could not complete the trip. The cost was reasonable, and the benefits were good. I did not need to file a claim, the trip went well.

It seems that you are penalized for being older. I'm 71 and had to pay twice the amount for my plan as did my 44 year old daughter. And this was true for all the insurance companies that I contacted. General Global Assistance had the most reasonable price. The plan offered coverage for all that I needed for a 9 day European Vacation. Thank goodness I didn't have to use it as all went well.

Thank you for your review. The premiums of the policies are determined by the insurance providers. The premiums are based on the age of the travelers, the length of the trip and the cost of the trip. Unfortunately, as travelers get older, it does cause the insurance premiums to increase. Excellent value for the amount of coverage I received. Carol, the agent that I purchased my plan was very helpful and made sure I was purchasing a plan that fit my current circumstances. I would highly recommend her for all you travel insurance needs. Carol was very patient and even asked questions that I did not think of. Other agents need to learn from her as they were not as patient directing my to read the plan. I will definitely unsure my trip with this company again but ask only for Carol.

Travel Delay 12+ hours
100 USD/day; 500 USD max. (secondary)
All Comprehensive plans listed on our website have daily and maximum limitations for Travel Delay. However, you may wish to consider the AIG Travel Guard Gold or Platinum plans, which offer higher Travel Delay limits, for your next trip.Sep 06,2019

Hard to review a service that provides protection for certain events if those events don’t occur and there’s no claim needed. The presumption is that it would do what it’s supposed to do... that’s why it was purchased!
