AIG trip insurance provided peace of mind on our recent three week trip to New Zealand. A few years ago I had a vacation trip interrupted and was very glad I had trip insurance which covered my expenses. I'm glad I didn't have any problems on this recent trip, but it was good to know I had coverage from AIG if I something unforeseen had occurred.

I was alone in NZ (7800 miles from home), injured and in the hospital. My daughter started the process with you and you turned it over to on call international. they were fantastic. Provided me a choice of flights, business class, home and arranged for help at all airports (wheelchair). My claim was processed and finalized quickly and to my satisfaction. Will definitely use you again (although I hope I don't need to:) and recommend you to others. I've never had to use travel insurance before (i.e. file a claim) and hope I never need to but I will definitely purchase it from you for all future international trips.

Not really sure on the goodness of the plan because I never needed to file a claim, but I was glad I had the insurance. two others on the trip were either sick or injured and if that had happened to me, I would have returned home and filed a claim!

In response to this review, Generali researched their files but could find no record of your call or email to the Generali claims or emergency assistance center. However, they do have a call from you to their customer service center asking to cancel this policy stating that you already had a policy. Since your call to cancel this policy was outside the 10 Day Review Period, you were not eligible for a refund.
"10-DAY RIGHT TO EXAMINE YOUR POLICY
If you are not satisfied for any reason, you may cancel coverage under the Policy within 10 days after receipt. Your premium payment will be refunded, provided that there has been no incurred covered expense and you have not left on your Trip. Return the Policy to us at the Program Administrator’s office or our authorized agent. When so returned, the Policy is void from the beginning. After this 10-day period, the payment for this coverage is nonrefundable."
