The year before when I purchased a plan we got some emails telling us about coverage, how to file a claim including contact numbers and other useful stuff. After this plan was purchased, we didn't hear anything after the premium was collected.

This confirmation includes the purchase details, contact information, and schedule of benefits. InsureMyTrip.com will also provide you with a coverage confirmation email that will provide your claims phone number and mailing address.
