Happily, we did not need to use our insurance. However, on a plane ride between countries in Africa, we met a woman who had broken her ankle the first day of her vacation. She had originally thought she wouldn't get any insurance but changed her mind. She was glad she did! Her insurance had purchased three seats on the plane so she could keep her leg elevated during the flight. I won't ever travel without insurance now!

Comprehensive Coverage plan premiums are calculated based on age of travelers, trip cost and length of trip. In some plans, destination may also affect the premium. You did choose the least expensive of our Comprehensive plans, so the policy premium was only 6.3% of your total trip cost.
Your comments on price is a frequent complaint. Nevertheless we do not expect any decrease in rates in the foreseeable future.Sep 20,2016

The older you get the more expensive it gets. I understand that BUT it made me have second thoughts. I wonder what the rate of plan usage for folks over 70 is to justify the high price. I thing it comes close to a rip off for senior citizens

My trip went quite smoothly, so I had no reason to use the plan. Therefore, it is difficult to say that it provided the protection I might have needed or the service I would have expected. It was comforting to know that some protection was there, if the need had arisen.
