Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
There were a few unexpected flight delays going to France and coming home but luckily the airlines was able to make provisions without any extra costs. It was peace of mind to having the insurance.

These plans are a sham. I came down with a bad cold in Gunten. We cut our stay short and returned to Paris a day early. Chills fever stuffed up nose aches and pains. The Swiss hotel would not refund the second nights stay, and because I didn’t go to a Dr I can’t file a claim. It’s BS.

On this plan, Trip Interruption covers: "Your or a Family Member’s or a Traveling Companion’s or a Business Partner’s or a Child Caregiver’s covered Sickness or Injury which: a) occurs while You are on Your Trip, b) requires Medical Treatment at the time of interruption resulting in medically imposed restrictions, as certified by a Legally Qualified Physician, and c) prevents Your continued participation on Your Trip;"
Unfortunately, with all plans offered on our website, if you do not get documentation from a physician that you cannot continue your trip, you would not have coverage under Trip Interruption.

It was reassuring to know that if a need for medical care arose during my trip it would provide coverage. My wife tripped on an uneven sidewalk and could have injured herself. Fortunately it wasn’t anything but things happen that you don’t expect. Best to have coverage even though you don’t use it.
