Most regular health insurance plans provide only partial or no coverage while you are traveling in another country. We offer several types of Travel Medical plans providing a range of benefits, such as medical coverage for pre-existing conditions, multi-trip and renewable protection, emergency medical evacuation, and coverage for long-term travel.
To learn more, see our Travel Medical Plans article.
If a travel insurance plan is secondary, the insured person(s) would be required to file a claim with their primary health insurance first. If coverage is denied or only partially provided, the travel insurance would cover the remainder, up to the policy limit.
Please call us at 800-487-4772 if you have any questions pertaining to this policy, or about primary vs secondary coverage. We would be happy to assist you.
