AIG trip insurance provided peace of mind on our recent three week trip to New Zealand. A few years ago I had a vacation trip interrupted and was very glad I had trip insurance which covered my expenses. I'm glad I didn't have any problems on this recent trip, but it was good to know I had coverage from AIG if I something unforeseen had occurred.

We received most correspondence from Insuremytrip. We got an order confirmation from AIG, but nothing on what to do in an emergency and who to contact if emergency services were required when we were in New Zealand. We did not make a claim and, therefore, don't know how AIG would handle a claim, but AIG servicing was well below average.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. After purchase, AIG Travel Guard emails a purchase confirmation which can be printed and carried with you on the trip. The purchase confirmation is a one page document which includes the purchase details, contact information, and schedule of benefits. I can only rate it with five stars because I didn't have to use it! The real test would be if I had needed it and it either was sufficient or insufficient. But I am HAPPY that all went well and that I did not need it - the peace of mind was worth the price.
