Delighted to find a plan that met my needs for medical expenses abroad, but not the other usual travails of travel. Visiting another country without being a member of their health insurance plan is a bit scary.

I'm unable to properly evaluate AIG Travel Guard Gold's delivery of services since I did not have a need to request assistance. I view this as a good outcome, however. Since I couldn't submit my comment without choosing some star ratings, I took the middle of the road.

I was unfortunately unable to take to my trip after planning it for a year and a half. I called Travel Guard and they mailed me all the forms to file my claim. When I submitted the claim I was instructed to wait four weeks before contacting them again.
I mailed the claim on 7/6 and on 8/4 I got a phone call advising me that my claim had been processed and I would be receiving a check in a few days. In a few days I received my check in the amount I had requested down to the penny.
I have insured with Travel Guard through Insure My Trip quite a few times before and this was my first claim. I would definitely insure with them again and would recommend them!
