The Travel Guard MedEvac Plan from AIG Travel covers single trips up to 365 days in length and offers coverage such as Emergency Medical Evacuation, Medical, Security Evacuation, and Accidental Death & Dismemberment. This plan offers optional coverage upgrades for baggage and certain activities such as mountaineering, aviation, hang gliding, skydiving, parachuting and bungee jumping.

How well the claims process goes is the acid test test of any insurance. So it is difficult to rate how satisfied we were with this plan given that we (fortunately) had no need to make a claim. Nevertheless, it gave us peace of mind on our trip at a very reasonable cost. i would definitely go with AIG again.

We were in a runaway horse and carriage accident, across a busy road and into a building. Fortunately no one was hurt, but I was thinking at the time how I was glad I bought the medical insurance!

Acquiring the policy was easy. Ship operator mandated $150,000 evacuation coverage and my comprehensive travel policy only offered $100,000, so your policy filled the gap nicely at a reasonable price. Thankfully, no claims! Doubtful whether evacuation would have been possible at any price for most of the trip.
