The AIG Travel Travel Guard Gold plan offers mid-level coverage and more options than Travel Guard Basic and Travel Guard Silver, allowing you to customize the plan to best fit your needs. In addition to Trip Cancellation, this plan offers Cancel for Any Reason coverage and a Pre-Existing Conditions Waiver. Children age 17 and under are free when there is at least one covered adult on the plan.

It is hard to review something that I ( thankfully) did not have to use. It served its purpose in that I proceeded with the planned trip knowing that in an emergency I would be able to afford whatever was required.

Fortunately, we didn't need to file a claim on this insurance policy (unlike on a past trip)! But it was good to have the back-up. The process of buying the policy was easy, and we were provided several optional levels of protection to consider.

I did not have to use the trip insurance but I was very happy I had the insurance for peace of mind. The very next day after I got home, over 7000+ flights were cancelled due to weather conditions. I would definitely purchase again.

I got sick and almost needed to change my flight plans. So I don't know if that change would have been covered., If it would have been, then it would have been worth it.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. You will be pleased to know that your policy states that "The Insurer will pay a benefit, up to the Maximum Limit shown on the Schedule, if an Insured cancels his/her Trip or is unable to continue on his/her Trip due to the following Unforeseen events:
(a) Sickness, Injury or death of an Insured, Family Member, Traveling Companion, or Business Partner;
1) Injury or Sickness of an Insured, Traveling Companion or Family Member traveling with the Insured must be so disabling as to reasonably cause a Trip to be cancelled or interrupted, or which results in medically imposed restrictions as certified by a Physician at the time of Loss preventing your continued participation in the Trip." In the event of a claim, the companies all provide a 24 emergency assistance and claim phone number.Feb 12,2016
