The AIG Travel Travel Guard Gold plan offers mid-level coverage and more options than Travel Guard Basic and Travel Guard Silver, allowing you to customize the plan to best fit your needs. In addition to Trip Cancellation, this plan offers Cancel for Any Reason coverage and a Pre-Existing Conditions Waiver. Children age 17 and under are free when there is at least one covered adult on the plan.

It's a very comprehensive plan at a great value. We had to have an entire trip refunded, and there were no problems with the process. Unfortunately, my agent was audited, and the process took longer than I would've liked to receive my refund check. Perhaps some communication during the time that he was audited would have been helpful. All in all, the check was received within a month of filing the claim.

Although I didn't have to use the travel insurance during my trip, I still feel that it was an important investment in the event that something did happen. I feel like this plan offered sufficient coverage for all aspects of my travel.

I will always buy this plan for all my trips! Great plan and customer service with quick reimbursement. I have used once for doctors visit and they were primary payor over my personal insurance. The second use was cause one of our travelers was sick and we were reimbursed very quickly which helped reschedule our trip.

I did not file a claim so cannot really say how that process was. However, I love the peace of mind of having travel insurance. I have come to the conclusion that I won't travel without travel insurance. I never know what will happen. An older relative could become sick unexpectedly. I could get injured while traveling. I am 55. I could have a heart attack. I like the benefits provided in case of those unlikely events.

Thankfully did not have to file a claim for any thing related to my family trip to Cancu over the 4th of July weekend. Regardless, the cost of this coverage was less than half of the cost the travel agency was providing and had twice the coverage.
