I did not have to use the travel protection, but did speak with them while marooned on an island in indonesia, stranded by the explosion of a nearby volcano. The agents I spoke with were cheery and helpful, offered to assist in any way possible, had their travel agent map out alternate transportation home, and called me back when my phone connection disappeared. Just speaking with them was reassuring. I ended up making it to my original flight so didn't have to reschedule anything.

I purchased platinum coverage for my son who went to the jungles of Indonesia on a surf adventure. Thankfully he had a perfect trip - the airline was great, he stayed healthy and never got injured. It was very reassuring to know that in case of a problem he was covered.

It is difficult to review the Travel Guard Platinum as I did not have a claim. The InsureMyTrip website is a start; however, there are many details that must be researched regarding State Registration where the website could provide more support and guidance (links, guidance, specs) etc.
