Allianz is the best insurance company I ever had. In two weeks after filing a claim for a medical treatment in China, I got all my money back.

The good news is that I did not need to file a claim. That being said, I cannot review filing a claim. I did find an affordable option for our trip and did like the online tools available. Also, appreciated the email from Allianz while we were on vacation. I would use them again for future trips.

I had a medical problem during our trip & had to come home for treatment, the trip interruption part of our plan came into effect, we were reimbursed as the plan stated . Highly recommend!!!!

I thought that I might need to use my insurance plan so I called Allianz during the trip to seek guidance. I was quickly connected to a representative who was very helpful and clearly laid out my coverage, options, and next steps. As it turned out, I did not need to use my insurance, but I appreciated that calm, clear guidance was readily available to me.

Allianz Global Assistance Classic
My concern with Allianz was the customer service I received when making the claim. The documentation needed for filling out the claim on-line was unclear. I called three different times asking for help in filing out the claim and each time I received vague answers as to what documentation I needed to submit. I had to figure that out on my own.
I never received notice when I needed to supply more documentation and only when I called did I get that information.
It says that you will get a response to your claim in 7 to 10 days but every time I sent in more documentation the "clock" started again and it actually took over a month to be reimbursed.
