I would never do a trip without travel insurance, and thankfully I didn't have to use it. I look at it as part of the cost of the trip. I have used Insure My Trip before and did have to summit a small claim that was handled quickly and without any complications.

Although I never had to file a claim, having the April plan in place eased my anxiety while traveling. The Insure My Trip smartphone app provided easy access to the plan details and contact info without having to drag around a lot of papers.
