I found the company very difficult to deal with when i filed a claim for trip cancellation because of a medical condition of a family member. After i provided all the requested info and told that my claim would be processed and paid it was denied. On the third appeal after threatening to notify the state insurance dept they settled and I received a check. They were quick to cash the premium check and almost impossible to get a claim settled. I wouldn't buy from them again and I recommend that they be taken off this site.

Our trip, as it turned out, was not affected by the series of strikes that altered the travel plans of thousands of people this spring. But having travel insurance at hand afforded me at least a sense of some protection against the loss of a quite expensive trip abroad. For this, the reasonable cost of insurance, even unused, was worth it.

With a mother who is in delicate position (medically) and our taking trip oversees, I felt confidant that this would cover any unexpected trip to change our plans. Fortunately, that didn't happen but I felt good about the options and having the converge.

I filed a trip interruption claim because of a terriost attack in Istanbul. Celebrity decided not to stop in Istanbul and I had to make other flight arrangements which cost an additional $581.00. There was a clause that said the terriost attack had to happen a month before my departure and that Roam Right was not responsible to reimburse me. Celebrity did compensate $300. And I filed with Roam Right for $281. I guess insurance companys always have clauses that prevent customers from getting money back.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. As stated, trip interruption as a result of a terrorist attack is only covered if the attack occurs within 30 days of the travel dates. This is because the travel insurance is designed to protect travelers against unforeseen incidents. If an incident occurs more than 30 days prior to traveling, it is no longer considered unforeseen.

Thankfully we did not need to submit any claims, but the price was better than most others for comparable coverage, as far as I could tell. I have used travel insurance in the past, and I would never travel without it for a large trip. Would buy again.

Unfortunately we were robbed on our trip; my purse was stolen. But our Roam Right plan did not cover any theft so we are out hundreds of dollars. I was not offered a reasonably-priced plan that included theft coverage, as I recall. But the rest of the plan - covering baggage and also medical - was sufficient and very reasonably priced. And we waited very late to get insurance. InsureMyTrip came through with a plan that offered at least some protection. And, as always, the InsureMyTrip representative was very knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient. It's just probably a good idea to include theft in any travel coverage!

This claim became complex by the changing travel conditions of 2020, addressing changing travel dates you initiated and the cancellation of the trip, not to mention determining the applicability of your refunds and vouchers that were given by your travel providers in the adjudication of the claim.
