My trip was not to the US. It was from Florida to Maine for 10 days and then to Alaska for 10 days, and then back to Florida. I could only get coverage for things I had already paid for when applying. There were other transport expenses I worried would not be covered. Your coverage did provide a sense of security, especially regarding transport home if needed. So I am satisfied. Thank You.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. It is important to make travelers aware that amendments to their policies can be made prior to the departure date. Trip information such as destination can be changed and trip cost can be increased. For instance, a policy is purchased to cover the current trip cost. After the policy is purchased and prior to the departure date, additional travel related expenses are incurred. You can call or email us to increase the trip cost covered by the policy. By increasing trip cost, there may be additional premium required.Jul 14,2014

I bought the plan months before I took the trip so don't remember too much about the details. Fortunately, I did not have to use it. But one day prior to my trip I thought I might have to cancel because of an eye problem. I contacted the company and the representative emailed me forms to fill out in the event that I needed to cancel.

We purchased coverage in case of a medical emergency that would have prevented us from traveling. The plan was easy to choose, and we received emails leading up to our travel date. Customer service during the purchase was excellent. The instructions were simple to follow, and I felt that I knew what process to take should we have to cancel. Happily we did not, but we did have the peace of mind that our plan was there just in case.
