All travel insurance appears to be artificially costly...without alternatives, however, one pays the price. My only experience in filing a claim over a twenty year period was very unsatisfactory, costly and frustrating. For this reason I switched from the one company I trusted to yours. I hope to continue my travels, stick with one company (yours hopefully...) and never need to file any claim again. Keeping my fingers crossed.

It's reassuring to know that this coverage is in place. I've used this company several times, including once when I had to cancel a trip a week before it was to start. This time after booking a river cruise, I was invited to join a tour of my dreams in the same region, and had no trouble switching my plan to cover the new tour. No problems.

All insurance is overpriced, IMHO.
Getting the insurance was very easy. Fortunately, we did not have to file a claim. Our previous trip to Paris ended in disaster, which is why we got insurance this time.

Thankfully I did not need to use the coverage during my recent trip to France. But I do want to say that it gave me great peace of mind to know in the event a situation occurred requiring me to use the plan, it was available to me. If I travel out of the country again, I will purchase a plan. Also, I would recommend it to anyone asking.

Even though credit cards offer a degree of insurance, which I took into consideration, the cost of this travel was sufficient to warrant a completer coverage. Your company was efficient, the details and coverages easy to understand and gave me a good assurance in case something bad happened.

Correct, some credit cards offer a form of travel insurance; however AXA Assistance USA offers comprehensive plans that may go beyond the basic protection. Having the assurance of knowing you will be taken care in the event of an occurrence can often really be priceless. We are proud to have been a part of it for you. Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We agree that there are many customers who are primarily looking for travel medical coverage. It is important to note that Emergency Medical Evacuation will also be included in any plan that offers medical coverage.
The AXA Assistance USA Gold plan can be purchased with a $0.00 trip cost to provide Medical and Emergency Medical Evacuation Coverage, but will no longer provide Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage. You will also forfeit coverage for pre-existing medical conditions. The premium of the policy would decrease by reducing the trip cost to $0.00.
As another option, you can purchase a Single-Trip Medical plan. However, all Single-Trip Medical plans will provide secondary coverage. Many will also include pre-certification requirements and likely not cover pre-existing medical conditions.
