I have used the Insure My Trip website to buy travel insurance for several trips. It is easy to use. Multiple options at various levels of coverage are suggested. The prices are more reasonable than the policies offered through the travel companies that I use. So far, I have not had to file a claim, so I have no comment in that area. I have selected policies from AXA several times. AXA offers a good range of coverage options.

AXA was VERY slow in responding to the medical claim I submitted. Fortunately, David from Insure My Trip advocated for me with AXA and finally got the claim settled and my reimbursement check issued. I don't believe I'd have ever gotten the reimbursement without the help of Insure My Trip customer care.

Thankfully, we had no reason to file any claims. For this reason, we have no experience with the underlying insurer. The policy appeared competitively priced for the coverages we wanted.

Good coverage at a competetive price. Covered the essentials I was interested in without a lot of extra stuff. Gave me peace of mind on my trip. Luckily did not need to use the insurance during this very extended trip.

Bought a good plan for cancellation for any reason with one of the more reasonable prices (sort of), did not have to use it. Found their Emailed package and instructions very clear and easy to use.

Maybe would recommend AXA. We had a huge claim with them almost two years ago and it isn't completely resolved yet and is being turned over to Collections in Australia.
We call and call and write emails and the hospital there has tried as well. AXA doesn't answer anyone...only ever has more forms and questions. This time no claims. Last time a nightmare.

I missed my connecting flight due to a trip delay from another flight in. I ended up having to stay in another city for two nights and then buy another one way ticket to my final destination. At first when I spoke with the representive at this company they had said it shouldn't be a problem resolving this claim. I sent in all the necessary paperwork on the eligible claim and was eventually reimbursed on the entire loss after having to make many phone calls and jump through multiple hoops with AXA. It's a good plan, but be prepared to not get reimbursed for your entire claim unless you jump through multiple hoops and spend several hours calling on the phone with them.

We do want you and your fellow customers to be aware that InsureMyTrip offers a Customer Advocate Program. Customer Advocates are representatives assigned to assist customers who experience issues after filing a claim. Requesting a Customer Advocate is as simple as calling 800-487-4722 or emailing [email protected], explaining the events which resulted in a claim, and the challenges you are facing.

This plan was easy to buy and reasonably priced. We had purchased a policy for a previous trip to Alaska. We ran into problems when we needed to file a claim on the trip to Australia. The response was slow on our first inquiry and then we were asked for duplicate info. We had two separate claims and both times I had to call customer service to get results. On April 25th for example, I was told that a claim check would be sent in the next 10 to 15 business days. When not received by May 19, I had to call and the check had to be Fedex'd to me. Received on May 22. These delays are unacceptable considering the cost of the policy. I WAS very pleased with your service reps. They were friendly and professional. I particularly commend Ernesto who I talked to on more than one occasion and who always managed to answer my question or solve my problem. Please give him my positive feedback. My husband and I are planning another trip but have chosen to buy ins from another company. I hope this feedback will be helpful.
